Spirals is the end product of a 5 year period of work, originally starting life as an EP of a few tracks conjured up by Insideus in the Shire, which later morphed into a full length album at its culmination. Written, scrapped and rewritten in 4 different countries, the 15 or so tracks made for the project has been refined down to a solid 9, getting rid of any that had a filler-type feeling attached to it.
It is a coming of age album, detailing the journey and metamorphosis of a boy into a man; going from insanity to clarity, from darkness to light. It tackles many hard subjects such as regret, redemption, mental illness, substance abuse, death, and other issues that we face in this modern digital age of capitalism, spiritual spinsters, and seeming impending cataclysm, whilst aiming to stay true to the craft of honest creative writing centered on achieving an imagined kudos from the literary and musical heroes of Patrsn. So spark up some herb, pop a cap on a brew or pour yourself a cup of your favorite beverage, and settle in for an audible journey through the mind of Insideus & Patrsn.
